Social Media’s popularity in today’s society creates unique challenges for companies when hiring. These free sites allow users to post pictures, videos, opinions, and comments on networks that are available for the entire world to view. Companies today want to make sure that the person they are hiring represents themselves in a manner that is consistent with the company culture. It is more important than ever that an applicants’ social media be screened before hiring.
During this session, we will explore the impact of social media on the recruiting and hiring process, discuss legal considerations and show how to run a FCRA compliant search.
