Reasons to Join OSHRM


OSHRM Membership Dues

  • $50 for membership when the person is not a national SHRM member or OSHRM is not the primary chapter
  • $25 for membership when the person is a national SHRM member and OSHRM is listed as the primary chapter
  • $0 for student membership
  • $0 for retiree membership 

Two steps to become an OSHRM member:

  1. Complete and submit your OSHRM membership application.​​​​​
  2. Pay the membership dues online, by mail, or in person at a meeting.

If you would like to pay for multiple people with one check, please have each person complete an application and mail them and the check to OSHRM.

The OSHRM membership year is January through December.  Approximately eleven chapter meetings are held each year.  Meeting times and place are posted on the OSHRM Events​​ webpage.  OSHRM membership is by person, not organization, and may not be transfered to another person.

Student Memberhip

Students are welcome to join OSHRM, and may do so at no charge.  To encourage student participation and membership, OSHRM will subsidize the cost for student members to attend OSHRM meetings.  Registration is required.  Requirements for student membership include:

  • Enrolled as either a full-time or part-time student, at freshman standing or higher;
  • Enrolled in the equivalent of at least six credit hours;
  • Enrolled in a four-year or graduate institution and/or a consortium of these or a two-year community college with a matriculation agreement between it and a four-year college or university which provides for automatic acceptance of the commuity college student into the four-year college or university;
  • Able to provide verification of a demonstrated emphasis in human resource management subjects; and
  • Able to provide verification of the college or university's human resources or related degree program.
